    • Capture at Singapore: Gunner F. T. Bowyer

      News has been received that Gunner Frederick Thomas Bowyer, son of Mrs. and the late Mr. Bowyer, of 11, Hill-side, Darenth, who has been missing since the fall of Singapore, is a prisoner of war in Japanese hands.
      Gunner Bowyer attended Darenth Council School, and was afterwards employed at Messrs. Johnson's Cement Works, Greenhithe. He was a member of the Green-Street-Green Cricket Club. He joined the R.A. in January, 1940.
